We have been making cider, perry and apple juice for over 10 years.  What makes us different is that all of the fruit used for our drinks comes from old traditional unsprayed orchards and gardens.  We help maintain these orchards to help them survive for years to come.  We control every part of the process.  We pick, press, blend and bottle all of our drinks ourselves.

Traditional unsprayed orchards

Old traditional orchards are an incredably diverse habitat and ecosytem.  Only using unsprayed fruit means there are no pesticides, no insecticides, no herbicides, no fungicides to harm the environment or you. This allows nature to thrive as it should.

These traditional orchards are also under threat across our landscape.  Lack of management, lack of sucession planting and urban development has all meant the loss of upto 90% of these orchards over the last 70 years.  Using the fruit helps give these orchards a reason to thrive again.  We help owners plant and restore these orchards.  We have also planted over 400 fruit trees on over 8 acres of our own land to help these orchards survive into  the future in our own village, North Nibley.

All of these orchards are local to us.  Most are located within a couple of miles of our cider barn.  At the most we travel 10 miles to pick our fruit.

Proper cider, perry and juice

We pick, press, blend and bottle all our drinks ourselves so that we know and control every part of the process.  All of our fruit is hand sorted before pressing in our barn.  Our cider and perry is wild fermented giving a much wider flavour profile than most commercial drinks.  Most of our drinks are completely undiluted to allow for greater taste depth.  At the very most we add 10% water only to balance out the acidity of some apple and pear varieties.  We control the fruit varieties and the blending meaning that we have a range of ciders and perries suitable for all preferences and occassions.

Overall this means our ciders and perries are stronger than most.  Stronger in flavour and stonger in alcohol!

Outlets

We supply a wide range of outlets from farm shops, pubs and wholesalers to large music festivals.  We generally supply our ciders and perries in 500ml bottles, 3L pouches, 10L and 20L bag in boxes.  We also supply music festivals with upto 1000L in large containers as required.  We can also supply individuals where licencing requirements are met.
